-is the most flexible strand among the four strands offered in the academic track because students get to learn and experience something from all the other strand.Gas is essentially for student who are undecided on which strand to take.

For the undecided
This strand is for students until now it is still undecided what strand they will take in SHS. For those who are confused on what their going to pursue in the future. That is why GAS offers “safe zone” for those students who would like to test everything first where they are good.

Most flexible strand
Flexible because here in GAS you will have “A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING” the learners get to learn and experience different things from the other strand.

The Gas subject
Humanities – Creative writing, introduction to world religions, creative non-fiction trends, networks and critical thinking in the 21st century culture.

Social science – Philippine politics and governance, community engagements solidarity and citizenship, discipline and ideas in social science.

Applied economics – Organizational and management, disaster readiness and risk reduction.

2 Electives
An electives is any special subject from the other strand.

Choosing electives helps you enroll in the course you want in college.

You should always remember without specific specialization. Here enters where enrolling in college most of the time a GAS student fill in to take general education subject.

There is no difference between the courses available to a Gas student and those available to STEM, HUMSS, and ABM graduates.

Hence the use of critical thinking, in GAS it is important so that you don’t get confused about what field or specialization you are currently studying.So critical thinking is important to make you learning from and meaningful and also don’t forget your creative. Creative when it comes submitting requirements that is always needed as a SHS students.
